The album peaked at No. 21 on the Billboard 200 chart for albums in 1991. The last solid album the band would make until Sting of the Tail years later, this was a monumental achievement. If the listener can get past the beyond played out Wind of Change, the rest of the album is great hard rock. Catchy, loud and in your face with killer hooks and melodies. The shame of Wind of Change is that it would alter the band's focus and see them spending the next 15 years chasing it with similar and much less successful songs. However the impact the song had on the changing face of the political world with the Berlin Wall coming down and the fall of the USSR, one can see why.

Considered to be their last "classic" album, Crazy World is a mixed album with a lot of catchy hooks and cool guitar riffs and solos and it follows the rocker and ballad formula that Scorpions are known for.This album is quite nice since it has two mega hits which are Wind of Change and Send Me an Angel, two cheesy ballads that work too well as sing along tracks.Some other rockers are great too, mainly Tease Me Please Me and Don't Believe Her that are built on very cool guitar riffs and solos by Rudolf and Matthias.The problem with this album is that it's too long, if some songs were cut out of the final recording it wouldv'e worked much better in my opinion.The legnth is causing some fillers to get into the album, some would say that they want more songs but I think that you should make a long album only if all of the songs are good.I will conclude my review by saying that this album is good and even above average, but that's it, it's not a masterpiece or a classic as many are making it to be.
