1. Vata: Creative Movements.
Book by Petkus, Janetta. This album was not composed as a mindless version of, or substitute for, the great music of India. It was written for Westerners, especially Americans, who are just becoming aware of some of the ancient rejuvenating insights of Ayurveda. As with any deep subject, there is an esoteric realm of understanding (for the select few), and an exoteric realm (for the general public). I loved Petkus' first single CD, "Moving in Time", so I wondered if I would be disappointed in this second effort. Happily, I must say that this set equals "Moving in Time" in its beauty, quality, and depth.
The songs of John Cage.
