Cotton, Lloyd & Christian.
Cotton, Lloyd and Christian were a soft rock trio comprising singer-songwriters Darryl Cotton from Australia, and Michael Lloyd and Chris Christian from the United States. They achieved some success in the mid-1970s. The trio's second album, Number Two, also appeared in 1976, and in April 1977 they released another single, "Crying in the Rain", written by Carole King and Howie Greenfield and first recorded by the Everly Brothers. Both albums were produced by Lloyd and Curb. No further recordings by the trio were released. Lloyd continued to work in Los Angeles, and produced hit records by Shaun Cassidy and Leif Garrett, as well as the soundtrack to Dirty Dancing. Cotton continued as a songwriter and performer, returning to Australia in 1978; he died in 2012.

Cotton's work in 1980 earned him an award for Best Solo Male Performance, 10 years after Zoot had won a similar award for a group. Best Seat in the House was issued on EMI Records and was produced by Christian. Cotton formed a backing band, The Charts, with Joey Amenta on lead guitar. Cotton, Lloyd and Christian – (1975). In 1967, Lloyd wrote songs and produced Fowley's solo album Love Is Alive And Well: Sounds & Scenes of the Flower Love Generation, with Fowley referring in the liner notes to Lloyd as an . .18 year old arranger and engineer who owns his own recording studio, plays 9 instruments and is lead singer and leader of The Laughing Wind, a Tower recording group. A second Cotton, Lloyd and Christian album, Number Two, was issued in 1977.
The Cotton Lloyd & Christian version of "I Go to Pieces" became a major hit in the Netherlands reaching number 17 in February 1976 with the track being included on the Dutch release of the group's Number Two album. In 1976 the tracks from the Cotton Lloyd & Christian album - including "I Go to Pieces" - were utilized for the soundtrack of the teen film The Pom Pom Girls with unsold copies of the Cotton Lloyd & Christian album being uted as The Pom Pom Girls soundtrack album.
