Jussi Kettu started touring from Savonlinna, Finland in 1980 with Carolia Disco Show. Soon in 1981 Jussi was on PROPAGANDA EP as a bass player. The general members of a punkrock band Ratsia founded Rudi with the new vocalist Jussi Kettu. The Second line-up had Pelle Miljoona & . The drummer Repa Rantsila came from Stalker. Rudi himself was the bass player from Ratsia. Kettu moved to Helsinki and made his first solo-album Tuli rautatie in 1986. The new album Yliannos bluesia was released in the 14th of April 2010.

The following year, he made his first appearance at the Metropolitan Opera and went on to become one of the Met’s principal singers during the 1940s and 1950s. Known as the Swedish Caruso (LIFE magazine 1939), he was labeled one of the Three Original Tenors with Caruso and Gigli (Caruso’s widow calling him the only one worthy of wearing her husband’s mantle).
