Writer's Block is the third album by Peter Bjorn and John. It was released on August 14, 2006. Taking a departure from the production of their first two albums, Writer's Block is an experimental, semi-concept album based around themes of the highs and lows of romance.

John Walter Fischer (born 1947) is a Christian author, singer, songwriter, and speaker. John Fischer was born in Pasadena, California in 1947. He graduated from Wheaton College in 1969. He studied for the Christian ministry at the Peninsula Bible Church in Palo Alto, California under Ray Stedman.

John Martin Fischer (born December 26, 1952) is an American philosopher. He is Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at the University of California, Riverside and a leading contributor to the philosophy of free will and moral responsibility. Fischer received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his P. from Cornell in 1982. He began teaching career at Yale University, where he taught for almost a decade before joining the faculty at the University of California, Riverside.
