The Hard Way. This song is by Clint Black and appears on the album The Hard Way (1992). But every now and thenI falter back on old memoriesAnd I'm right back in love againAnd back down on my knees.

Clint Patrick Black was born in Long Branch, New Jersey, the youngest of four children born to . and Ann Black, and lived in nearby Red Bank. The family moved back to Texas, where . Black had been raised, before Clint was one year old. He was raised in Katy, Texas. Music was always present in the house. Black taught himself to play harmonica before he was 13, and at 14 wrote his first song. His father remarked that it was at that age that the parents "first noticed that he had a great voice". No Time to Kill released: 1993. The Hard Way released: 1992. Put Yourself in My Shoes released: 1990. Killin' Time released: 1989.

Country singer Clint Black enjoyed major success with his gold debut album Killin’ Time (1989), which dispatched four N. hits: A Better Man, Nobody’s Home, Walkin’ Away and the title track. He also recorded sensational albums like Put Yourself in My Shoes (1990), The Hard Way (1992) and the platinum-certified No Time to Kill (1993). While going through a royalty-lawsuit with Bill Hamm, Black recorded The Hard Way (1992), which arrived at N. on the country charts and achieved the Top Ten position on the pop charts. The album No Time to Kill (1993), with the first single When My Ship Comes In, fared much better with platinum status and a Country award.
