is the only studio album by the American band The Heartbreakers, which included Johnny Thunders, Jerry Nolan, Walter Lure and Billy Rath. The music is a mixture of punk and rock and roll. stands for "Like a Mother Fucker"; in a 1977 interview in the UK monthly magazine Zigzag, Thunders said this originated from New York gang graffiti.

The original version of . which stands for "Like a Mother F cker") was marred by shoddy production. This 1984 remix of the album (under the supervision of Johnny Thunders) places . favorably alongside other New York punk bands from the late '70s. Borrowing inspiration from his old band, the New York Dolls, along with Chuck Berry, Keith Richards, the Ramones, and heroin, Thunders & the Heartbreakers' junkie antics translate well to disc.

This 1984 remix of the album (under the supervision of Johnny Thunders) places . Songs like "One Track Mind," "Chinese Rocks," and "Pirate Love" are great examples of these influences. Although the Heartbreakers were not as lyrically intuitive as ex-member Richard Hell or Television, the.

Johnny Thunders is great at everything he did, so why did he have to take it out on my song? I mean I love his song, I Love You, I think that’s a great song, but I have no idea why he stole Chinese Rocks from me. The more I realize how good a song Chinese Rocks is-then I think, But it ain’t the best song in the world, ya know? The Ramones said they wouldn’t do Chinese Rocks, and I had an apartment on 10th Street with this girl Pam, that I was going out with. So Jerry Nolan came up one day and I showed him the song and Jerry said, Perfect. And then the Heartbreakers . album came out, they all had their names on it. I think everybody thought that was like a real tough thing to be a junkie-but I don’t really know the real reason why he stole it from me. "Chinese Rocks" Track Info. Had Keith gone out on his own after Exile on Main Street, 1978’s Some Girls might have sounded like . I guess we’ll never know that for sure but that is what I like to think. I suppose Johnny’s mistake was being a poor junkie, The Dolls picked up more press than money and the Heartbreakers were no different. Any hope of climbing up from street junkie to affluent celebrity junkie rested on putting out an album and getting out of just gigging nightly in clubs  . is a picture of what could have been but was never going to be. Johnny couldn’t change to save his career or his life and died alone in a New Orleans hotel room. Time to flip the record and start it over.
