Let It Be" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles, released in March 1970 as a single, and (in an alternate mix) as the title track of their album Let It Be. At the time, it had the highest debut on the Billboard Hot 100, beginning its chart run at number 6. It was written and sung by Paul McCartney. It was their final single before McCartney announced his departure from the band.

Absolutely the best Beatles album with Abbey road coming up for second. Great hits like 'A Day In The Life', and other great hits although I love every Beatles album nothing even comes close to Sgt. Peppers. My grandmother showed me this album and we listened to it while painting the walls and since then I was hooked. I was 8 years old at the time but now I'm 13 and know so much more about the Beatles. This album was released in 2008, by Paul McCartney as a better alternative to the original Let it Be album. While they did remove 2 songs (Dig It, and Maggie Mae), these were pretty useless and bad songs.

The White Album is the best Beatles album because it shows most fully the Beatles range of songwriting skills and influence. it's astonishing their ability to write brilliantly in so many vastly different styles. However, a good portion of it is covers of songs by other artists (Arthur Alexander, Carole King et. so for me this is a minus point. With The Beatles - the second album. Overall 7/10 - more original songs and the start of the solid Lennon-McCartney writing partnership. Let It Be - the twelfth and final album. Overall 7/10 - like Abbey Road, too much going on and no main direction. It feels ‘exhausted’ which is what the band were at the time.

In many cases, the Beatles' versions rival and often top the originals. From: 'Beatles for Sale' (1964). Aside from the tossed-off skiffle cut 'Maggie Mae' on 'Let It Be,' 'Help!' featured the last two cover songs on a Beatles album: Larry Williams' 'Dizzy Miss Lizzy' and 'Act Naturally,' a country hit for Buck Owens in 1963. Like many of the Beatles' best cover songs, Chuck Berry's 'Rock and Roll Music' is sung by Lennon as a throat-shredding tribute to his formative years. But the entire band steps up here, turning up both the volume and intensity of Berry's 1957 classic. We wish the Beatles' fourth album contained more originals, but we totally support their hauling out this stomping staple from their road-warrior days. 1. 'Twist and Shout'.

This article is all about one of the Beatles most covered songs 'Blackbird' Here are some of the best cover versions of it with accompanying videos. Blackbird was written in response to racial tensions in the USA in 1968 and appears on The White Album, now considered one of The Beatles best albums. Blackbird' is an incredibly beautiful, simple song with a pared down vocals by Paul McCartney. Here are my favourite cover versions of it, with some information about the artistes who have given their best to bring it to our ears. Bobby McFerrin was born in New York in 1950 and both of his parents were opera singers so being a vocalist must be in his blood
