Alan Eastwood was well known as a great drummer but his talents extended to singing and also songwriting at which he was prolific. Alan Eastwood joined The Brumbeats - formerly The Plazents who were signed to a Decca recording contract in 1964. The band also recorded under the name 'The Merseyboys' and had a now rare album of Beatles songs released on the famous Vee-Jay label in the . As a member of The Brumbeats, Alan first tasted fame when the band played support for and appeared on the same bill as The Beatles when they performed in Birmingham
The Seeds is the debut album by American garage rock band The Seeds. It was released in April 1966 through GNP Crescendo Records and produced by Marcus Tybalt and Sky Saxon. After the release of two singles in 1965, "Can't Seem to Make You Mine" and "Pushin' Too Hard", the album was released and charted in the United States where it peaked at No. 132 on the Billboard Top LPs & Tapes chart.

ALAN JAMES ‘BUGSY’ EASTWOOD was a renowned musician and singer who came to prominence in the late 1960s with rock band THE EXCEPTION. He sadly passed away in 2007 but his music continues to attract cult status. SEEDS – his debut solo album – was issued on President in 1971 and has never been on CD in the UK. A prized artefact among fans of Acid Folk, original vinyl copies have sold for up to £150! This welcome reissue boasts numerous bonus tracks new to CD, culled from various non-album singles on President, including folk-funk rarities ‘Moonchild’ and ‘Closer To The Truth’.
