Redirected from Kairos (Sepultura album)). Kairos is the twelfth studio album by the Brazilian metal band Sepultura. It was released on June 24, 2011 by independent German record label Nuclear Blast Records. This is the band's first release on the label, marking their first album not released on SPV/Steamhammer since 2001's Nation.

Дата релиза 24 Июнь 2011. Лейблы Nuclear Blast. Because of my age and the point in time that I got into metal, my first Sepultura album was A-Lex. And I think that’s the reason why I don’t find the post-Cavalera Sepultura as atrocious as most others seem to. But now that I’ve heard the Cavalera era of Sepultura, I have become aware that those are Sepultura’s best albums. But that doesn’t mean I can’t stand the newer Sepultura. I still listen to A-Lex and I enjoy it too, especially Moloko Mesto, probably the heaviest thrash metal song ever created.

However with Kairos, Sepultura are lifting the overall standard of their releases and this in turn should make a few fans remember the good days. Members of the band have stated that this is very much a concept album. Guitarist Andreas Kisser adds in an interview that;"It's a collection of 'kairos' that here. It's being inspired by our own biography, but mostly on what Sepultura is today". A theme that has been shaped by the bands changes, both internal and external

Album (Studio full-length).

Because their last album A-Lex had been considered a “partial return to the Thrash Metal of old” (absolutely not!) due to the mainstream metal press (a ruin for most bands, new or old they may be), Sepultura were forced to make their return to Traditional Metal more palpable on Kairos: so Kisser felt himself forced to use almost exclusively D-tuned guitars, instead of his A-tuned set of guitars. The album not only is formulaic and predictable like most of their albums, but it finds them also experimenting with poorer songwriting ideas for the sake of “metal relevance”, and instead reinforces their attempted Biohazard process of imitation. This fact, coupled with a perfectly useless Ministry cover (even the original was plate as hell) and the lyrics “The true voice, our music / It's always been our music / Can't speak to our faces / It's easy to put your mask on / The typing and bitching / It's how you keep your distance / There's always a reason / We've moved beyond your limits”, which makes the band seem like dictators whose ideas are always right even when they aren’t, given it refers to their “change of musical style since the departure of Max Cavalera” (lies: it started with him in the line-up, with Chaos A.D.!). That’s why the band should have never messed up with their original fanbase, keeping instead simple and continuing the generic Metalcore route started with Roots. As it is, Kairos finds a renewed act like them desperately trying to return young again unsuccessfully.Highlights: “No One Will Stand”.
