Vol. 1 of The Tchaikovsky Cycle by Vladimir Fedoseyev and the Moscow Radio Symphony Orchestra makes the dangerous claim in its liner notes that the orchestra is technically perfect. A lofty assertion to be sure, and one that is not entirely true. While the group plays with a remarkable amount of technical precision, there are of course the occasional foibles (particularly in the winds and French horns in the Rococo Variations) that are simply unavoidable in a live performance.
