Gemini Syndrome broke on the scene in 2013 with their Lux debut album and the band is back to rock us again in 2016. The group just announced that they will issue their sophomore set, titled Memento Mori, on Aug. 19 via Another Century. The band teamed up with the father/son producing duo of Kevin and Kane Churko. Drummer Brian Medina states, "The title of the new album, Memento Mori, essentially means 'Remember, We Di. The artwork is designed to show the different layers of our physical and spiritual form going through the phases of disintegration, ending in the release of the soul. The drummer goes on to state, "With Lux, we were a new band. It was our first raw expression of us as a group. Now we've gone through things like switching record labels and replacing band members, and the whole experience has strengthened us as a unit.

Memento Mori is the second studio album from American alternative metal band Gemini Syndrome Track listing. For example, in jazz fusion Bandleader-composer Miles Davis album Bitches Brew, producers like Phil Spector and George Martin were soon creating recordings that were, in practical terms, almost impossible to realise in live performance. Producers became creative figures in the studio, other examples of such engineers includes Joe Meek, Teo Macero, Brian Wilson, and Biddu. In music, a single or record single is a type of release, typically a song recording of fewer tracks than an LP record, an album or an EP record.

Gemini Syndrome's second album, 'Memento Mori', delivers a hard hitting metal sound that will leave you humming to the choruses for a while. The instrumentation on this album does a fairly well job of keeping everything balanced and smooth. The vocal delivery on this record doesn't a bad job either. The vocals bring a nice raw and vibrant mood to the music, reminding me a little bit of David Draiman from Disturbed. But, while all these key components hold up well, I do have a few problems with it. For one, there are three interlude tracks on here of creepily recorded audio that devotes me and will probably devote others from enjoying the overall material on this album. And second, this is kind of a long album, fifteen tracks running at fifty minutes in length. Most of the songs are pretty much at three minutes or above, but the closing track, "Brought to Light", runs at a whole five minutes. The albums does feel a tad long towards the end, but overall, is fairly steady sophomore album by the boys of LA.
