The Lady Killer is the third studio album by American singer CeeLo Green. It was released November 5, 2010, by Elektra Records. Production for the album was handled by Salaam Remi, Element, The Smeezingtons, Fraser T Smith, Paul Epworth, and Jack Splash. The album debuted at number nine on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 41,000 copies in its first week. It achieved respectable chart success elsewhere and produced three singles, including the international hit "Fuck You".

Fuck You," the ul hit of summer 2010, should cast a large shadow across Cee Lo Green's third proper solo album. The singer's biggest solo single to date, it's the best form of novelty hit - a side-splitting surface supported with a durable underbelly, combining Millie Jackson-level lyrical frankness with a knockout throwback-soul production. Even without the presence of "Fuck You," The Lady Killer would remain a thoroughly engrossing album.

Cee-Lo Green and His Perfect Imperfections announced the title of the former Goodie Mob MC's 2002 solo debut. Is the Soul Machine declared his 2004 follow-up. And if there was still any doubt that Cee-Lo loved high concepts, next came his Danger Mouse collaboration, Gnarls Barkley, and all of its costumed glory. Cee-Lo's third solo album is simply called The Lady Killer, but given his track record it's pretty obvious who that lady killer is meant to be. Admittedly, releasing a kiss-off single called "Fuck You" is not the usual MO of your typical ladies.

Cee-Lo Green, member of Gnarls Barkley & Goodie Mob, finally releases his long awaited and much anticipated 3rd solo album Lady Killer. Cee-Lo has had quite the year so far making timely guest appearances on some of the bigger albums of the year as well as releasing a successful mixtape Stray Bullets which featured his vintage soul stylings over eclectic beats. Cee-Lo Green has a certain unique high quality voice that is a pleasure to hear every time. Smooth yet rugged at the same time. The production is also great perfectly fusing many different genre elements into one highly enjoyable experience. The songwriting is poignant and clever. With Lady Killer, Cee Lo Green has outdone his previous efforts.

If the de rigueur synthetic frills keep The Lady Killer from the visceral, tactile highs of the current soul revival, they do remind that artifice can often be its own reward. What is most glaringly absent from the bulk of the album is the sneaky sense of genre-bending and unpredictability that Cee-Lo brought to Fuck You, not to mention his innovative work with Gnarls Barkley.

Cee Lo Green is best known as the dulcet tones of Gnarls Barkley, the duo he fronts with producer Danger Mouse. He has just released his third solo album, 'Lady Killer'. Earlier this year one of the tracks from the album ’Fuck U’ became a huge viral hit and later scored Cee Lo his first UK number 1. Hailing from Atlanta, pre-Gnarls Barkley, he was a member of southern hip hop act Goodie Mob. He chatted to Dazed Digital about who his favourite lady killer is, and how he took on the mind frame of a contract killer when creating the album. DD: I guess the most famous British lady killer would be James Bond. The intro to the album is even a bit reminiscent of a James Bond soundtrack. Cee Lo Green: Who's the real James Bond? Roger Moore, Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan, Daniel Craig? Who's the real one? James Bond is an enigma.

This should not be a kamikaze mission
