Kato Izumi (加藤いづみ) is a Japanese pop singer. Kato debuted in 1991 with the Takahashi Ken produced album Tegujyuperi. She then released her first single, "ZERO", a month later but didn't get popular until the single "Suki ni Natte, Yokatta". She would be one of the many female artists that would lead the generation of Girl Pop in the 90s. But in 2001, Kato would move to an independent label to continue to release new music. Birthdate: July 21, 1969. Birthplace: Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture.

Izumi Kato is an artist who began painting after laying down his brush. Eschewing tools, as if to reject any reliance on the flightiness of brushwork, he applies layer upon layer of sombre-hued pigment directly with his hands, not so much to paint as to rub the colour onto the canvas. In this way, he depicts creatures with human contours, two staring eyes, a head, hands and feet.
